Hand-Building Pottery Experience
Use a hand powered potter’s wheel and form the clay with your fingers to produce a vessel. 1 piece per person.
As there is plenty of time, you do not need to feel rushed, take your time when producing a piece. To fully complete, the piece will have to be dried, then baked, then painted with a glaze and finally baked again, therefore, 2 months and above will be required for full completion.

- How to receive the works
Finished pieces will be shipped after 2 months. Domestic delivery will be made for those residing in Japan or for those staying in Japan 80 days after completion of a product, otherwise shipment will be made to overseas.
Shipping within Japan 1540 Yen.

Children aged 7 and above may participate on their own.
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
(We ask that one adult accompanies each group.)

- Precautions
Please arrive at the 1st floor reception of the Hakone Crafthouse Main Building at least 30 minutes before your reserved experience time.
(For example, if your reservation is at 1:00 PM, please arrive by 12:30 PM.)
It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Hakone Crafthouse from the main entrance of Gora Park, so please allow enough time to get there.
Using 600g of pottery clay, you can create one item such as a rice bowl, teacup, or plate.
If you decide to change the amount of clay or the number of pieces on the day, or if you choose optional design features, additional fees may apply.【For customers making same-day reservations through the booking site】
After completing your reservation, you may cancel without any cancellation fee via My Page until 12:00 AM on the day of your visit.
If your same-day reservation is made after 12:00 AM, you will not be able to cancel, change the time, or adjust the number of participants.
Please note that cancellations made after 12:00 AM on the day of the reservation will incur a cancellation fee. We kindly ask you to take extra care when making same-day bookings.
- Notes
Even after the reservation deadline has passed, you may still be able to join the experience on the same day if there are available spots.
